Principal

Dear Warriors Families and Community Members,

My name is Carl Prescott, and I am the proud principal of Jefferson County High School, home of the Warriors.  I am excited to embark on this new journey as the school's leader.  It is truly a blessing to watch our students grow, learn, and develop valuable relationships with their teachers and fellow classmates as they learn new skills that will empower them to be productive members of society.  We are ready to build on the progress made last year and take our school to the next level.  Despite the many challenges presented over the past COVID years, Jefferson County High School has continued to grow, progress, and make positive changes for the betterment of our children's education.  We are committed to providing a safe and healthy learning environment where:

  • Positive, healthy relationships are established between staff, students, and families.
  • We have structures in place to best meet the needs of each individual child.
  • We have a commitment to excellence for ourselves as educators and for out students as learners.
  • The mindset is to grow positively as a community.

We encourage you to look for opportunities to engage in your child's learning experiences such as: participating in various school events throughout the year, serving on our School Council, or volunteering.  We also encourage you to stay updated through our website, and social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram).  Please make sure to pay close attention to the dress code and cell phone policy that will be posted very soon.  If you have questions, please fell free to contact me at 706-872-1076.

Yours in education,

Carl Prescott, Principal
